“At first, I was disappointed with this painting, and for a long while after. It's funny that the piece that bothered me most, hung over the lamp in my room. That’s the nature of art sometimes, you can’t like them all. Seeing a small semblance of overall balance, I signed it and inwardly said, "good riddance." It started off with some excitement and vision, tons of vibrant color; then, ended in frustration and anger. But now, I see that what was meant to be done, was done. It grew on me. And with a lamp on it, it's quite nice"
