Loose, then looser,
the berth was not to last,
as the knots weren’t held fast.
Nor the pools filled by your hands.
Who now hastens hither on our lands?
Run! Flee! Hide!
Waves of woods wailed.
Sighing, seething somberly,
even earth rent.*
A dark cloud’s claws, the remnant homily.
Few fiddlin’ta pluck their bows-up, fought.
Shepherds who’d taught, taught, taught!
Can again. And again. And again,
make merry men, of them again;
A horror at their expense. 
Difference.*
What’s the difference?
Wolves never go away. 
Sheep run, jump & play.
Sheepdogs watch. Wait."
